Thanks to the many advancements in digital business solutions, more and more people are looking to be able to work in a more mobile setting – but how possible is this?

Nowadays, business can be very fast-paced, and as a result many professionals are looking for flexibility in the way they work. For example, the internet has meant that information moves quicker than ever; in response, many of the current business tools are designed to be able to receive and share information just as quickly – like instant messaging, email, cloud storage, etc.

We discussed this with TechQuarters, a company that has been providing business IT support London based organisations have relied on for years – they have seen how business has been accelerated by technology, and discussed the way that business solutions have met these new demands. In particular, we discussed working on mobiles, and how it can be achieved with solutions like Microsoft 365. TechQuarters themselves are a Microsoft Solutions Partner, and have been using Microsoft 365 since the company was founded in 2010.

Can You Work On Your Mobile?

The question of whether or not one can work on their mobile, at this point, should be pretty obvious: Yes, provided you have the right solutions in place. For example, office workers should not use personal mobiles to access company resources, unless they have been enrolled with their employer’s endpoint management solution, thus ensuring that company data is isolated and protected on the device. Most of the IT support companies London based organisations trust agree that working on a mobile can be just as secure as working on a computer in the office, and the added flexibility and mobility is very beneficial.

Top 10 Tips for Mobile Working with Microsoft 365

With Microsoft 365, all of the products included are cloud-based, because it is a software as a service (SaaS) solution. This means that all the products are platform agnostics – they can be accessed on desktop computers, web browsers, and mobiles. This is the key to mobile work with M365. Below are some ways in which you can work on mobile.

    1. Sign, scan, or send documents

Scanning a hardcopy of a document no longer requires a printer-scanner. Instead, most cloud storage solutions allow users to scan documents with the camera in their phone. With Microsoft 365, both the OneDrive app and the Office app on mobile allows users to scan documents quickly and easily. Furthermore, OneDrive supports e-signatures, so you can even sign important documents while you are on the go.

    2. Access all your files on the go

With Microsoft 365, you can install OneDrive and SharePoint – the two main cloud storage services included in the plan – onto your mobile phone. Once you have done this, all the files you keep in these services will be accessible to you on your phone, at any time.

    3. Get offline file access

Cloud storage is dependent on internet access, normally. However, with Microsoft 365, you also have the option to setup offline access for certain files. Some businesses need this ability – like if you require IT Support for Financial Services this kind of access would be useful. Files you have marked for online access will be kept locally on your device so that you can still access them if you’re not connected to the internet. When your internet connection returns, any changes you made will be synced with the cloud.

    4. Share files easily (and securely)

File sharing is a big part of business nowadays, and with the cloud on Microsoft 365, it is very easy to do. With all your files safely stored in the cloud, all you need to do is send a link to the cloud location to a colleague. When they follow the link, they will have instant access to the file. Not only is this convenient, but also the safest way to share files.
